Interstate Ranks in Top 10 for GSA Quality Scores
We’re proud to share that both Interstate International and Interstate Van Lines rank in the top 10 among all domestic household goods movers in the U.S. General Services Administration's 2025-2026 Customer Satisfaction Index. Out of nearly 90 ranked providers nationwide, Interstate International placed #6 and Interstate Van Lines placed #8. Interstate International also ranks among the top performers for international relocations.
This continues a pattern of sustained excellence. In previous years, Interstate has earned the #1 spot in customer satisfaction among all GSA CHAMP movers in both domestic and international categories. Year after year, we consistently perform at the top tier, not as a one-time achievement, but as a reflection of how we operate every day.
What Are GSA Quality Scores?
The General Services Administration runs the Centralized Household Goods Traffic Management Program, known as CHAMP, which handles over 20,000 federal employee relocations annually. To ensure quality across this program, GSA developed a rigorous scoring system called the Customer Satisfaction Index.
Here's how it works: After every move, GSA sends surveys to both the relocating employee and the government agency. These surveys cover seven key service areas, and respondents rate each on a scale of 1 to 5. GSA then calculates a composite CSI score where 100 represents average performance across all providers. Scores above 100 indicate better-than-average service.
What makes this meaningful is the consistency and independence of the measurement. GSA manages the entire survey and scoring process. Every move counts. Every survey is factored in. There's no cherry-picking good reviews or hiding bad ones. The methodology is the same for all providers, which means the scores offer a true apples-to-apples comparison.
For the 2025-2026 cycle, Interstate International scored 105.77 and Interstate Van Lines scored 104.58, both well above the industry average.
What the Scores Actually Measure
The GSA surveys evaluate the service factors that matter most to relocating employees and the agencies that support them:
- On-time pickup and delivery
- Quality of packing and careful handling
- Safe and secure transport
- Clear communication throughout the move
- Responsiveness to questions and concerns
- Professionalism of crews
- Condition of belongings at delivery
Excellent team. The move went smoothly with no hiccups!
